Gowan Calder and Mae Hearons
“It’s the two performances that make this celebration of women’s history – and the joy of research – so much fun… it’s a warm-hearted, fun and pleasingly silly introduction to a serious topic – the rewriting of history. Take a child along and shake it off“
The Stage ★★★★ (Aug 2018)
A Good Enough Girl? is enjoyable, involving and deceptively important production… This is a production that fairly crackles with fun and excitement, and that constantly involves its audience“

“What a lovely show – I thoroughly enjoyed watching this with my 10 year old daughter. A fantastic message to deliver to all young girls (and boys)… I loved the audience participation and had my daughter believing she was a secret agent and part of this secret mission. Great inclusion of Taylor Swift to get all the audience to Shake it Off”

Set in a world of mystery, spies and secret missions; it’s 2025 and the history of women has been erased. But in every regime there’s a resistance… Will you be courageous enough to write their stories all over again?
A Good Enough Girl? is an exhilarating celebration of the inspiration and courage of women – an adventure where the boys and girls are integral to the action and suitable for 8+ and families.
Based on an original idea by Xana Marwick (BBC New Talent 2017, BBC Writersroom), created by the company with dialogue by Gowan Calder, A Good Enough Girl? is directed by award-winning director Kate Nelson, and performed by Gowan Calder (Teacup Travels, Allotment, Outlander) and Maegan Hearons (UK stage debut). A Good Enough Girl? is a co-production with Greenwich Theatre, Scene Change Productions and Nutshell Theatre.
